Static and Dynamic Penetration Tests, Drilling Works

We perform drilling and probing for engineering geological, hydrogeological, environmental and construction surveys.

  • Track-mounted rig Pagani TG63-150:
  • The rig enables static penetration (CPTU), dynamic penetration (DPSH-B), and drilling, including soil sampling.
  • Static penetration is performed according to ČSN EN 22476-1 Geotechnical investigation and testing – Field testing – Part 1: Static penetration test with electrical data acquisition and pore pressure measurement (05/2023).
  • Dynamic penetration is performed according to ČSN EN 22476-2 Geotechnical investigation and testing – Field testing – Part 2: Dynamic penetration test (06/2005).
  • The maximum thrust capacity of the rig is 150 kN.
  • The principle of the static penetration test involves pushing the penetration tip using a column of steel rods with a circular cross-section diameter of 35.7 mm into the soil at a constant speed of 20 mm/s ± 5 mm.
  • During the static penetration test, the following parameters are measured:
    – Specific tip resistance,
    – Specific sleeve friction,
    – Pore pressure at the cylindrical part of the penetration tip,
    – Penetration depth,
    – Tip inclination angle using a built-in inclinometer,
    – Pushing speed and measurement time.
  • The principle of the dynamic penetration test involves driving a rod with a diameter of 32 mm, equipped with a solid cone tip with a diameter of 50.5 mm, an area of 20 cm², and an apex angle of 90°, using a hammer weighing 63.5 kg with a drop height of 75 cm;
  • During the dynamic penetration test, the following parameters are measured:
    – Number of blows N10 or N20 required to drive the tip 10 cm or 20 cm,
    – Penetration depth,
    – Torque Mv measured at 1.0 m intervals.
  • The interpretation of penetration tests is carried out for the purposes of:
    – Identifying the lithotype of the layer and boundaries between layers,
    – Constructing a lithological profile,
    – Determining derived geotechnical parameters.

Light track-mounted rig MRZB:
  • Hydraulic rig on a track chassis suitable for difficult terrain and moderately challenging geological conditions (stiff clays, compact sands).
  • Depth reach of approximately 8 meters.
  • Collection of undisturbed soil samples.
  • Penetration tests (DPT), injection tests.

Penetration rig LMSR-Vk:
  • Standard hammer weight of 50 kg, standard drop height of 50 cm (DPT).
  • Results in the form of a report with a table of measured values and a graph.
  • Interpretation into a geotechnical profile with geotechnical parameter values.
Drilling equipment HILTI DD 150-U:
  • Drilling holes and penetrations through building structures – sampling of concrete and asphalt, vertical and horizontal structures, linear constructions.
  • Core diamond bit, continuous water cooling, possibility of drilling with cooling water “with water recycling” using an industrial vacuum cleaner in enclosed spaces.
